First, you need to make sure that OneDrive for Business is installed on your system.

Windows: OneDrive should be installed for you already, if you do not see it contact support services.
Mac: Download OneDrive from Self Service(DWU Cloud).

Next make sure that OneDrive is running and not closed.

Windows: Search in the Windows menu for OneDrive for Business and run the app
Mac: Press Cmd + Space at the same time and search for OneDrive to run it.
