How to forward your email from Outlook software (see below for web)

  1. Open Outlook.
  2. Click the Home tab and then select Rules (located toward the center of ribbon).
    The Rules icon to click.
  3. Select Manage Rules & Alerts from the drop down.

  4. Select New Rule.
    The New Rule link to click.
  5. Select Apply rule on message I receive located near bottom of list, then click Next.

  6. Click Next (don't select anything).

  7. Click Yes when asked This rule will be applied to every message you receive.  Is this correct?.
    The pop-up window prompting is it correct that the rule will be applied to every message and the OK button.

  8. On the next list select the following actions (see image below):
    • redirect it to people or public group 
    • stop processing more rules
  9. Click the underlined phrase: people or public group in the bottom part of window.

  10. Type the email address to forward mail to in the To field, then click OK.

  11. Select Finish.

The rule should be listed, with the box checked, in the Rules and Alerts window.  Click OK and you're done.


How to forward your email from Outlook web

  1. At the top of the page, select SettingsSettingsView all Outlook settings.

  2. Select MailForwarding.

  3. Do one of the following:

    • To turn on forwarding, select Start forwarding, enter the forwarding email address and select Save.

      Note: Select the Keep a copy of forwarded messages check box if you want a copy of the original message to remain in your mailbox.

    • To turn off forwarding, select Stop forwarding and select Save.
