DWU Information Technology has implemented a new spam, phishing, and virus filter called Mimecast Email Security.

Mimecast spam digest emails are sent three times per day at 7:00am, 12:00pm, and 4:00pm. The digest messages list each spam message caught between those times.

If you do not have any spam messages caught by the system, you won’t receive a notification email.

You have the choice to release, permit or block a particular sender. You are not required to take any action if you don’t want to – messages in the spam quarantine are deleted permanently after 14 days.

Release: One-time release of the message from quarantine

Permit: Releases the message from quarantine and also permits all future messages to you from the sender

Block: Blocks all future messages from the sender to you
